LEGAL ADVICE

Our solicitors provide FREE advice to individuals via face to face appointments.

Appointments are available from Monday to Friday with our first appointment at 9.00am and our last appointment at 3.00pm. At times there may be changes due to unavailability of solicitors at certain times.

Areas of law we advise on include the following:

Family Law, especially issues to do with living arrangements for children, child support issues, domestic violence, advice and assistance with parenting plans, separation and divorce matters.
Consumer complaints including actions by debt collectors and finance companies
Motor vehicle collisions (not including any injury issues)
Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal matters
Neighbourhood disputes such as dividing fences, trees and noise issues
Minor criminal matters such as drink driving and points demerit issues
Employment law, such as unfair or unlawful dismissals
Less complex succession law matters, including advice on time limits for challenging wills.

Commercial & Business matters, such as disputes between small traders
Conveyancing
Personal Injuries
Class Actions
Criminal representation in court
Legal matters in other states and countries
The actual preparation of wills and powers of attorneys
Defamation
Immigration law
Laws of other States, Territories and Countries

If we cannot provide you with advice on a particular matter, we will make an effort to provide you with an appropriate referral to another service.

NIGHT CLINIC

Free legal advice is also available each Thursday night on a 'walk-in' basis. This is for people who cannot make it during the day for an appointment due to work restrictions.

This evening session is designed for quick, simple questions. You will be allocated 10-15 minutes with the solicitor. Lengthy appointments requiring a letter written or forms filled out will be asked to make an appointment.

Our Thursday Night Clinic starts at 5.00pm.

This service has been limited due to funding restrictions so please appreciate that a limited number of people are able to be seen each clinic evening and you are strongly advised to be here at 5.00pm.

OUTREACH CLINICS

To make it more convenient to access our legal services, we operate 'Outreach Clinics' at various locations within the Gold Coast region. All appointments are made through our Southport office.

The clinics are as follows:

Oxenford: Monday
Palm Beach: Monday
Varsity Lakes: Tuesday
Upper Coomera: Wednesday
Nerang: Thursday
Family Relationship Centre: Thursday and Friday

Please note that these clinics are only for those clients living in the catchment areas for the centres, as determined by our office.
