The Citizens Advice Bureau and Gold Coast Legal Service Inc. is a non-profit community-based organisation that provides advice, assistance and information the Gold Coast community.
Ours is a service unlike any other, providing the services traditionally associated with a Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) as well as those of a community legal centre.
The CAB collects information on organisations and services available for the community on the Gold Coast and produces "The Gold Coast Community Guide" which is available in printed format and via this website. The Community Guide is considered the definitive community service resource on the Gold Coast.
We are located at 2/18 Bay Street, Southport The entry to our service is actually in Rawlins Street, directly behind OfficeWorks.

Our service was established in 1984 and is the only funded community legal centre on the Gold Coast.
We are an independent of government. Our funding comes from the Commonwealth Government's Community Legal Services Program (CLSP), the State Government by way of the Legal Practitioners Interest on Trust Accounts Fund (LPITAF) and from the Gold Coast City Council through its generous grants program which assists us with our rent and with the production of our "Community Guide", both by direct funding support and bearing all costs of printing.
